Plans are coming together as decisions are being made for our upcoming Annual Fundraising Banquet. This year, as we celebrate with friends of Indian Life Ministries, we will praise our Heavenly Father for what He has done this past year, testify regarding what He is currently doing, and share details of what He is leading us in for the upcoming year. Remembering our mandate of restoring hope, healing and honor within Indigenous communities across North America, through a...
Three years ago, when the director team of Todd and Krystal Wawrzyniak came on board Indian Life Ministries, they approached their mentors and friends, Kene and Milly Jackson, asking if the couple ever read any Indigenous devotionals. The Jacksons replied that they didn't know of the existence of any Indigenous devotionals. After Todd and Krystal grew in their ILM leadership positions, Kene and Milly approached them with the idea of Indian Life Ministries publishing a 365-day...
With Council Fire Volume 2 just being received from the printer, we are busy beavers, as we work hard to fulfill customer requests. It is proving to be more sought after than we anticipated. We ordered 6000 copies of volume 1 and have less than 500 left! Now that volume 2 is moving along, and with summer coming our way, we are working hard at getting all contributions received for Council Fire Volume 3 before people start taking vacation and aren't thinking about writing devot...
As we mentioned in the directors’ column, ILM moved to a new physical office this month! We are very excited about this as for the last three years, our director team, Krystal and Todd Wawrzyniak have been running the office out of their home office. They say, “The Lord’s timing is perfect, as having the office at home allowed us to focus on some of the needs of our children while still remaining focused on the running of ILM. With our move into the new office, we are anticipating growth! Growth in workers and growth in minis...
Some people think of fall days as lazy and sleepy since the air gets cooler and the sun doesn't shine as much. But our days couldn't be busier right now at Indian Life Ministries. We are so excited to let you know about a couple of updates on our 365-day devotional. The devotional will be called: Council Fire! Stories shared around the fire are such a vital, entrenched part of our Indigenous culture. Stories are passed down around the fire for teaching, for enlightenment, for...
Todd and Krystal, our director team, are looking forward to helping facilitate the Bighorn Vacation Bible School (VBS) in Bighorn, Alb., July 17–21. The theme is "Jesus is the Greatest Chief!" Two dedicated believers, Wacey and Violet, have graciously opened their land for the event in the Bighorn Community, and a leader named Tyson will teach the children. We are so excited to assist in this outreach! When we are able to reach children of a family for Jesus, this often l...

The Gift of Reconciliation" conference, hosted by ILM, is happening December 16–18! Starting on Friday evening, we will enjoy fellowship, food, teaching by Mario Swampy, and gospel music by Kene and Milly Jackson. Saturday morning we will learn how to make bannock. Is it in your calendars yet to attend Indian Life's upcoming fundraising banquet? If not, head on over to our website at indianlife.org or give us a call at 1-800-665-9275 to change that. We are finalizing details big and small, and with that has come a change in our keynote speaker. We were thrilled to have Craig and LaDonna Smith confirmed to speak, but complications have caused this to change. We will miss them. We are however excited to announce that Steven and Noemi Keesi...
The sun was shining as we drove away from our home one Friday morning. The roads were dry; the sky was blue. Driving west through the prairies, watching the grasses blow in the breeze, you could almost hear a gentle whisper in the air. My view from the passenger seat maintained this prairie panorama for countless hours as we passed through Alberta and into Saskatchewan. About 30 minutes west of Brandon, the weather changed to blowing snow. This caused a white out and hid the...
