Indian Life holds banquet to celebrate 40 years of ministry

On Friday, October 4, Indian Life hosted a banquet at Calvary Temple in Winnipeg to celebrate 40 years of ministry. We thank all those who contributed to organizing the banquet and those who joined us in this milestone celebration to praise our Lord for all He has done for and through this ministry.

We enjoyed a fabulous meal catered by the Calvary Temple catering team and were blessed in song by Christopher Creasy and members of the band, Northern Fire.

Our guest speaker, Dr. Don Bartlette, shared his personal testimony of growing up with the challenge of a cleft lip and palate and only part of a nose among other challenges. The local doctor advised his parents to send him away as he would not fit in with others. But thanks to his loving mother and a merciful God, he had numerous surgeries to correct these physical challenges, but not before he was teased, bullied and abused by classmates and others. With the Lord's intervention, Don met his future wife who shared the gospel with him and was a big part of Don crying out to God for His peace.

As Christ came into Don's heart and life, he felt the hate that was festering there melt away and felt an overwhelming love fill him and the arms of his Heavenly Father surround him.

About five years after this momentous event in his life, Don felt the Lord's call to go into a faith-based speaking ministry to share his story and Christ's love for all. Don has shared his story (as a living testament of what God can do through a life in which very few can find value) in more than 10,000 events around North America.

Don is a tremendous example of how God can and will use those of us who are willing for His purposes in spreading the gospel message.

The evening wrapped up with more fellowship and a heartfelt prayer for the future of Indian Life Ministries.
