Is it in your calendars yet to attend Indian Life's upcoming fundraising banquet? If not, head on over to our website at indianlife.org or give us a call at 1-800-665-9275 to change that.
We are finalizing details big and small, and with that has come a change in our keynote speaker. We were thrilled to have Craig and LaDonna Smith confirmed to speak, but complications have caused this to change. We will miss them.
We are however excited to announce that Steven and Noemi Keesic have graciously and eagerly said yes to the challenge!
Steven was raised in a Christian home with a wonderful family. However, as time passed, he witnessed church splits, legalism and spiritual abuse. When someone outside of his family abused Steven, he turned away from God.
"I ran to the world to find acceptance and love," Steven says. "Within a few short years, I had become lost in addiction and was unable to finish my university degree as a result."
Steven might have thought he was finished with God, but God wasn't finished with him! He's living proof of the mercy and love of God . . . and of the fact that miracles still happen. Steven eventually earned a law degree and served with the Adult and Teen Challenge program.
He and his wife currently live in his reservation of Lac Seul First Nation, preaching the gospel across Canada.
At the Native Youth Conference, May 2022, Indian Life staff members first heard Steve eagerly encourage the youth to make the most important decision of their lives. Then at the Beaver Lake Camp in August 2022, we again got to sit under Steven's teachings. He is anointed by the Lord. Steven and Noemi have experienced the goodness of the Lord and are keenly aware of His work in their lives.
We'd love to meet you in person at the October banquet, but recognize that this might not be possible for everyone. Please prayerfully consider joining us in prayer and/or with your financial gifts.
