What a busy couple of months it's been at Indian Life Ministries!

Series: Whats Up with ILM | Story 7

As we mentioned in the directors’ column, ILM moved to a new physical office this month! We are very excited about this as for the last three years, our director team, Krystal and Todd Wawrzyniak have been running the office out of their home office. They say, “The Lord’s timing is perfect, as having the office at home allowed us to focus on some of the needs of our children while still remaining focused on the running of ILM. With our move into the new office, we are anticipating growth! Growth in workers and growth in ministry needs.”

While the office leaders were moving, ILM also co-hosted the annual Indigenous Couples’ Getaway (see p. 9).

And of course, nothing is slowing down. We’re very excited that from April 25-28, ILM personnel will be at Christ Community Church in Kamloops BC for the annual B Native Christian Conference. The theme this year is focused on “Recovery,” with Huron Claus from CHIEF, Inc. as the keynote speaker, and the Richard Paul band leading us in worship. Krystal Wawrzyniak is thrilled and privileged to have been asked to lead the women’s breakout session.

And we’re thrilled to announce that Council Fire Volume 2 has now gone to the printers! This volume has an even broader variety of contributors than Volume 1! All the writers are Indigenous and share encouraging testimonies, stories, and devotions about how the Lord has worked in their lives!

Some share trials and traumas and show how the Lord was with them, helping them persevere and overcome. Others are lighthearted. But the key take-away remains the same: God is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow and He is for every tribe and nation.

We have sought to honor the Lord  in providing a platform for the redeemed of the Lord to share their story (Psalm 107:2), recognizing that we will overcome by the blood of the Lamb (Jesus) and the word of our testimony (Rev 12:11).

If you use our Volume 2 as a daily devotional, this will run from May 1 to August 31. It will be available for purchase April 21! (See ad on p. 11). It makes a great gift so we hope you’ll order your copies right away!

Also make special note of the NYC—Native Youth Conference—ILM is participating in from May 16–19. Rally the teens you know to prepare to attend this exciting event held at Camp Nakamun in Alberta. They’ll enjoy swimming, zip-lining, a talent show, a graffiti wall, workshops, worship, and more! This is a fantasic event for helping young people find encouragement and instruction in living for Christ! For more information, see nativeyouth.org, contact nativeyouthco@gmail.com or bookmark the Facebook page: NativeYouthConference(NYC). It’s worth any price to get your favorite Indigenous teens there!

Please pray for us as we walk in the ministries God has directed us into, and as we seek to serve! We couldn’t do it without you!
