You may have started seeing our logo from time to time while scrolling Facebook or if you receive newsletters from Tribal Trails, but who is Generation Hope? We are a social media ministry committed to bringing the hope of Jesus Christ into the next generation of indigenous youth.
Our Mission and Vision
Generation Hope was founded on the belief that every young person deserves to hear the message of Jesus Christ and understand that His love and grace are available to all, regardless of their background. Indigenous youth, in particular, face unique challenges and often feel disconnected from others who believe in Jesus. It is hard for them to fully embrace faith because of the path a lot of their friends may be on. Our mission is to bridge that gap by sharing stories and testimonies that resonate with their experiences and struggles and show them that they are not alone.
Sharing Stories of Faith and Resilience
Over the last year, we have conducted 10 separate interviews with young indigenous believers in Jesus. Each video shares a struggle that the individual has gone through and how Jesus was there to help them overcome it. These stories are powerful testimonies of faith and resilience, highlighting the transformative impact of Jesus in their lives. It has been amazing to hear how God is working through today’s youth!
For instance, one of our interviews featured a young woman who came to a crossroads when her friends started to do heavy drugs. She knew that that wasn’t the life she wanted so through faith and support from her church community, she was able to grow in her faith, walk away from what could have been a harmful lifestyle and now shares her story to inspire others. Another interview showcased a young man who struggled with his identity. He changed who he was based on the people he was around, but found his true identity in Jesus.
Impact on Social Media
The amount of support we have already started seeing on social media has been overwhelming. On one TikTok video, we have 14.8K views. We have also received a few comments like this:
“From what I’ve seen, the testimonies have done an amazing job and definitely shown me I am not alone. Oftentimes following Jesus can be seen as a ‘white man’ religion, and definitely prohibits native peoples to pursue Him. I know it did me, and hearing other people in my same situation has been a major encouragement that I’m not the only one.”
These comments are a testament to the impact our ministry is having. It’s encouraging to know that our content is resonating with viewers and helping to dismantle misconceptions about Christianity.
Challenges and Rewards of Online Ministry
One of the frustrating things with doing an online ministry is that you have no idea how the Lord is using it. It sometimes feels like you work so hard on a video or a post just for it to be overlooked. But we must remember that even if only three people have seen it, it may have impacted one of those three people. We are constantly reminded of the parable of the Sower, where some seeds fall on rocky ground and others on fertile soil. Our hope is that our messages fall on fertile soil and bear much fruit, even if we do not get to see it.

Our vision is to create a vibrant, supportive online community where indigenous youth can connect, share, and grow in their faith.
