WHAT'S UP WITH ILM?

Series: Whats Up with ILM | Story 10

Plans are coming together as decisions are being made for our upcoming Annual Fundraising Banquet. This year, as we celebrate with friends of Indian Life Ministries, we will praise our Heavenly Father for what He has done this past year, testify regarding what He is currently doing, and share details of what He is leading us in for the upcoming year.

Remembering our mandate of restoring hope, healing and honor within Indigenous communities across North America, through a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ . . . one soul at a time, we will talk with three Indigenous followers of Jesus, in different seasons of their lives. Just as iron sharpens iron, we desire to encourage one another and build one another up in our faith. Living in this world can be challenging, but with God, challenges can be overcome, made sweeter, and we are reminded that He never leaves us or forsakes us, even though it may sometimes feel like it.

The banquet is a fundraiser too. We have some big projects that we're focusing on, and we daily look to the hills and ask the Lord to sell a few of the cattle he owns. Last year, we launched Council Fire, a 366-day devotional written exclusively by Indigenous followers of Jesus. The funding in large part came from the generous donations made at the banquet. We literally could not have published it without the support of those in attendance. This year, we are focusing on turning Council Fire into a podcast, and digitizing all of our books! Yes, you read that right. ALL OF OUR BOOKS. It is a big task and will take financial resources, but God is a big God, and He does own the cattle on a thousand hills.

Please continue to pray for Indian Life. We do require resources to continue in ministry, like any ministry, but without prayer, we labor in vain. We seek to engage in activities that the Lord would have us engage in. Publish the books the Lord would have us publish. Go where the Lord would have us go. Talk to whom He would have us talk to. When followers of Jesus pray, mountains are moved and great things are accomplished. If even one soul is set free as a result of the work of Indian Life, it is all worth it. And let me tell you, many souls have been set free this year.

Join us as we celebrate and praise the Lord, in every season!
